Smith Street Spectres
A five-stack of uni mates stuck in Silver. After an 8-week ranked program with VOD review, four of the five hit Diamond and the roster won our summer Protocol Cup.

A 32-seat esports lounge and performance lab on Smith Street. 144Hz battle stations, ranked coaching, and weekly tournaments — from casual queues to grand finals.
Who We Are
HyperBonusProtocol opened in 2019 in a converted warehouse off Smith Street, two doors from the Fitzroy Bowls Club. We are a crew of ex-ranked competitors, casters and PC builders who wanted a room where the gear never holds you back and the coaching is honest. Drop in solo, bring a five-stack, or train for your next LAN.
No franchise scripts. A genuine Fitzroy room run by people who live within a tram stop of it.
RTX battle stations, low-latency peripherals and a 600Mbps fibre line tuned for ranked play.

How It Works
Four simple steps to get you in a chair and climbing.
Book online or walk in. Casual seats from $9/hour, or grab a 5-hour Raid Pass for $35. Five-stack pods can be reserved as a group.
Pick a play mode: open queue, a coached 90-minute aim session ($55), or a structured 8-week ranked program with video review.
Warm up in the aim lab, run scrims against house teams, and get live VOD feedback from a coach between rounds.
Enter the Friday $10 bracket or qualify for the monthly Protocol Cup, casted live on our 4.5-metre LED wall.

Real squads, real ranks, real outcomes from our coaching floor.

Local amateur side prepping for their first LAN. We rebuilt their utility book and ran nightly scrims; they placed top 4 at a Melbourne open against semi-pro rosters.

Our under-18 weekend academy took twelve newcomers through fundamentals. Eight stuck with it and now run their own school team scrims on Sundays.
Player Reviews
Honest words from the people in the chairs.
Booked a Raid Pass on a rainy Sunday and ended up staying till close. The frames are flawless and the coach actually watched my demos and fixed my crosshair placement.
I came in barely knowing how to queue ranked. Sami’s beginner onboarding was patient and clear, and now I duo every week. Best gaming room in the inner north, easily.
We run our team scrims here every Tuesday. The five-stack pod, the fibre line, and a casted finals wall make it feel like a proper venue, not just an internet cafe.
Good To Know
We are open 7 days a week from 10am to 11pm. Friday and Saturday the floor stays live until 11pm with tournament brackets. Coaching sessions run by appointment from midday onward.
Casual stations are $9 per hour. A 5-hour Raid Pass is $35, and a coached 90-minute aim session is $55. Our 8-week ranked program is $390 and includes weekly VOD review. All prices are in AUD.
Walk-ins are welcome whenever seats are free, but Friday and Saturday nights and five-stack pods fill fast, so we recommend booking online. Tournament entries should always be reserved in advance.
Players of all ages are welcome during the day. Under-18s need a guardian sign-off for our weekend academy, and after 8pm the floor is restricted to players 15 and over. Game titles are matched to age ratings.
Absolutely. Every station has USB and 3.5mm hookups for your own mouse, keyboard and headset, and we keep spare wrist rests and mouse pads behind the desk if you forget yours.
You will find us at 219 Smith Street, Fitzroy VIC 3065, a short walk from the 86 tram and plenty of street parking after 7pm. The entrance is the turquoise door beside the laneway.
